It was revealed on Channel 9 this morning (another leak?) that the Labor camp had set up the whole ‘debate’ question with Channel 7 well before the interview. The new “real” Julia was to be asked “out of the blue” if she would have another debate, and the new real Julia would “spontaneously” agree to the debate there and then. (By sheer chance, of course, the day she agreed to happened to be the day of the Liberals’ campaign launch.) So – surprise, surprise – the new real Julia is just as stage managed as the old one.
